We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join our growing team in Austin, Texas (Cedar Park). This individual contributor role will support clients across the New Mexico and Texas regions, focusing on security frameworks, network engineering, and infrastructure management. The successful candidate will serve as a technical escalation point while supporting project management functions and maintaining strong client relationships.

What will your role involve?
Technical Leadership
- Implement and maintain security frameworks in regulated industry environments.
- Execute cloud migration strategies and endpoint management solutions.
- Provide systems and data center engineering expertise.
- Serve as escalation management point for complex technical issues.
- Conduct independent reviews of technical documentation and develop remediation plans.
Infrastructure Management
- Storage Systems: Pure Storage, ExaGrid, Dell, HPE
- Server Platforms: Dell, HPE, IBM (IBM Z mainframe experience highly valued)
- Networking Equipment: Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, Extreme Networks
- Specialized Technologies: InfiniBand, High Performance Computing
Project Support
- Collaborate with Project Management team based in Albuquerque.
- Provide quality assurance review of project scopes of work.
- Reset client expectations and relationships when projects encounter challenges.
- Coordinate remediation efforts and delegate follow-up activities to PM team
Client Relations
- Maintain and develop business relationships within target market segments.
- Support MSP/VAR partnerships
- Focus on K-12 education and local government sectors in Austin, Houston, and San Antonio markets.

To be most successful, you should possess traits including:
Experience
- 10+ years of network engineering experience
- 7-10 years of security framework implementation or regulated industry experience
- Demonstrated expertise in systems and data center engineering.
Certifications & Technical Skills
- Required: CISSP certification with at least one concentration area
- Preferred: SANS Institute certifications, IEC credentials
- Focus: Blue team defensive security approach (red team/offensive security not primary focus)
- Experience with GEC (Global Enterprise Cybersecurity) frameworks
Core Competencies
- Master-level understanding of fundamental infrastructure technologies.
- Proven project management and escalation management capabilities
- Strong technical documentation and remediation planning skills
- Experience working in MSP/VAR environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience
- IBM Z mainframe experience
- Existing business relationships within K-12 or local government sectors
- Experience supporting geographically distributed client base.
